Mercy Regional Cancer Center Hosts
16th Annual Cancer Care Symposium
Port Huron, MI…Mercy Regional Cancer Center will host the 16th Annual Mercy Cancer Care Symposium, focusing on Head and Neck Cancers. The symposium is designed to provide primary care physicians, surgeons, oncologists and other health care professionals who treat or care for patients with cancer an in depth educational activity featuring treatment, reconstruction, rehabilitation and basic care of head and neck cancer patients.
Mercy’s Cancer Care Symposium will be held 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, November 10, in the Mercy Hospital cafetorium. Four AMA PRA Category 1 Credits will be offered. The event is sponsored in collaboration with the St. Clair County CME Consortium. Mercy is the only oncology program to host an annual cancer symposium providing continuing cancer education.
Local cancer care experts as well as national specialists, including presenters from the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, Henry Ford Hospital and the University of Michigan, will present on a broad-range of topics as they relate to head and neck cancer, including an in-depth review of thyroid cancer.
