Mercy Hospital Foundation Publishes Annual Report
Port Huron, MI… In its 2005-06 report to the community, the Mercy Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that it raised nearly $500,000 to benefit programs and services in the community, including providing advanced cancer care services through the Mercy Regional Cancer Center and primary medical care to the poor and uninsured through the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health.
“In our community’s current economic condition and with the resources available to us at Mercy Hospital, this level of success is extraordinary,” comments Homeira McDonald, MD, a local pathologist and Chair of the Mercy Hospital Foundation Board. “What makes this unique situation outstanding is that the Mercy Hospital Foundation is fortunate to continue to benefit from the support of numerous volunteers and community members in helping it succeed in providing this level of financial support to Mercy Hospital programs and services while at the same time being competent stewards of the resources entrusted to us.”
The Mercy Hospital Foundation Annual Report provides an overview of the broad array of programs and services that benefited from the financial generosity of this community. “The report also is our avenue for thanking our generous donors,” concludes Dr. McDonald, “without whom none of this could be accomplished.”
