Mercy Auxiliary Volunteer Organization Hosts "Lights of Love" Fund Raiser
Port Huron, MI – “Every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings…” This enchanting quote from the Christmas favorite “It’s a Wonderful Life,” is the theme of an annual fundraiser sponsored by the Mercy Auxiliary Volunteer Organization (MAVO) and a wonderful way to honor someone you love.
With a simple donation of $5 for a Lights of Love Christmas bell, the donor is remembering and/or honoring a loved one, family member or friend. Bells are then displayed on a Christmas Tree predominantly displayed in the Mercy Hospital Baggot Street Café throughout the holiday season. Bells can then be picked up between Saturday, January 5 and Friday, January 11 to cherish for yourself or pass along to your loved one.
Lights of Love bells are available in the Mercy Hospital Gift Shop, located at 2601 Electric Avenue, in Port Huron, Monday and Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 2 to 7 p.m. All monies raised go to benefit MAVO’s numerous philanthropic endeavors.
For more information, please call the Mercy Hospital Gift Shop (810) 987-1045 during regular business hours. For more information about Mercy Hospital and the MAVO organization, visit Mercy online at: mymercy.us.
