Mercy Pink Ribbon Fund Recieves Contribution From Massmutual Financial Group
Port Huron, MI… Mercy Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that it has received a contribution of $1,000 from MassMutual Financial Group to support the Mercy Pink Ribbon Fund. The Mercy Pink Ribbon Fund provides financial supports to women in the community with no health insurance and who are in need of advanced breast cancer diagnosis.
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, MassMutual Financial Group and its Representative Jaime Cowper, CLTC, of St. Clair; and Kristie Guadiano, CLTC, of Howell, contacted the Mercy Hospital Foundation to offer its support for the care of breast cancer patients. This contribution is a part of MassMutual’s philanthropic community programs. Cowper of Seymour Gill Financial presented the check in early December 2007.
In addition to the check presentation, Cowper was invited to meet Mercy Hospital Financial Counselor Sue Dawson, who oversees the distribution of Mercy Pink Ribbon Funds. “I was just speaking with a woman in need of this important financial support,” Sue Dawson commented. “As a result of this contribution I was able to contact her and let her know funding was available to help her in her time of need.”
