Vineyards of the World to Benefit Peoples’ Clinic
The Mercy Hospital Foundation in conjunction with Wright & Filippis will host the Fifth Annual “Vineyards of the World” wine tasting event to benefit patients of the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health.
Located on Port Huron’s southside, Peoples’ Clinic provides free medical care to area residents who are uninsured and have no financial resources to pay for their care. It is co-sponsored by Mercy Hospital and the St. Clair County Medical Society; and is funded in part by the United Way of St. Clair County.
“Vineyards of the World, is the community’s premier wine tasting event devoted to helping those who are most vulnerable,” comments Sondra Briese, Director of the Mercy Hospital Foundation. “This event allows community supporters the opportunity to experience exotic taste sensations from around the world, while raising funds for this important community project.”
The event will be held Saturday, March 31, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at Fore Lakes Golf Club. The cost is $75 per person, and includes wine stations, featuring wines from Italy, Spain, Australia and California. Participants can also feast on hors d’oevuvres that have been hand-selected to compliment each wine. The popular Martini Station will once again be a featured attraction.
To register, or find out about business sponsorship opportunities for this year’s event, please call the Mercy Hospital Foundation office at (810) 987-1047.
