Mercy Hospital Hosts Headache Education And Support Group
Port Huron, MI…Mercy Hospital is pleased to announce that it has joined with the National Headache Foundation to host a Headache Education & Support Group for Blue Water residents.
Headache Education & Support Group meetings are free and will be held the third Tuesday of each month, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., in the lower level Auditorium of Mercy Hospital, 2601 Electric Avenue, Port Huron. The next meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, April 17, 2007, will feature a discussion on Myofascial Release, provided by Dave Fredericks, RN, CMT, Myofacial Specialist. Myofascial Release looks at the causes of imbalances and tension throughout the body and ways to relieve the pain of headache and other discomfort.
The Headache Education & Support Group is facilitated by Donna Smith, RN, a professional of the Mercy Pain Management Clinic. This group is open to those who suffer headache, their family members and all interested community members.
