Strength Through Survival Kicks off at Local Event

Rose Norton, Norton’s Portraits of Distinction

The Strength Through Survival program will kick off during the Mercy Hospital Pink Ribbon Ladies’ Day, planned for Thursday, June 21. “I am currently working with two local survivors to pilot the kick-off and provide samples of the project’s process,” concludes Rose. “I plan to unveil these two portraits during the golf outing later this month and share my vision of Strength Through Survival.”

Rose Norton has been a professional photographer throughout the area for nearly 30 years. Currently, Rose takes part in a number of community programs and projects, including membership in the Port Huron Chamber of Commerce, and the National Association of Career Women. She also donates her time to such groups as the Girl Scouts - Michigan Waterways Council, Miss Huron Shores pageant, and 4-H.

To help off-set the production costs of the Strength Through Survival program, Rose is in need of sponsors interested in supporting local breast cancer survivors who would like to participate.

For more information on participating in Norton’s Portraits of Distinction Strength Through Survival project or to become a portrait sponsor for a survivor, please call Rose Norton at (810) 984-1404.
