Golf Outing Planned
It’s time to grab your clubs and head off for another fun-filled day on the links during the 28th Annual Mercy ~ Chafty Memorial Golf Outing.
This year’s event will benefit special projects of the Mercy Regional Cancer Center and the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health.
The Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health is cosponsored by the St. Clair County Medical Society and Mercy Hospital and is funded in part by the United Way of St. Clair County.
This year’s event will be held Tuesday, August 5 at Port Huron Golf Club. Two flights will be offered in this modified 18-hole golf scramble for male, female and mixed foursomes.
The morning flight includes refreshments with registration at 7:15 a.m., and concludes with lunch. The afternoon flight begins with registration at 11:30 a.m., and includes a buffet lunch. An outstanding dinner and auction will conclude the day’s activities.
This year’s event includes four special “Par 3 Hole-In-One” prizes sponsored by Cawood Auto, including: a 2008 Buick LaCrosse; a five-day stay at a Fairmont Hotel; Taylor Made Driver, with three and five woods; and a Burner set of Irons.
Last year’s Mercy ~ Chafty Memorial Golf Outing raised more than $68,000 to support the Mercy Regional Cancer Center and provide medical care of the poor and uninsured through the Peoples’ Clinic.
As the needs in our community continue to grow so, too, does the need for the community’s continued support. At Mercy, your contributions touch the individual lives of many local residents.
