Introducing...Sanctuary
Recognizing that today’s typical senior living communities do not adequately address the needs of elders, the Village at Mercy Health Center in Fort Gratiot; Mercy Marydale in Port Huron; and Mercy Casa Maria in Imlay City are changing their names to celebrate a new culture of senior living.
Owned by parent corporation Trinity Senior Living Communities, this new culture, called Sanctuary™ provides resident-driven models that focus on hospitality, companionship and preserving and creating relationships.
The new philosophy is also dedicated to meeting residents’ needs and honoring the sacredness of every soul.
The new Sanctuary model is visible in all the Trinity Senior Living Communities which range from affordable independent living, to assisted living and memory care.
Beginning in May 2008, the new names include: Sanctuary at Mercy Village; Sanctuary at Marydale; and in Imlay City, Sanctuary at Maple Vista.
“We’re extremely excited to be able to offer this new philosophy of senior living, while maintaining many of the outstanding services we currently provide,” comments Diane Cooper, Hospitality Director, Sanctuary at Mercy Village.
Rosemary Hunger, Concierge at Sanctuary at Marydale agrees. “We conducted extensive research to determine the needs and wants of our residents,” explains Rosemary. “Our philosophy promotes choice, individuality and a sense of purpose which were defined to be critical to the health of today’s older adults.”
Residents who live in Sanctuary senior communities will experience a home rich with customized care and a community filled with close, personal relationships.
