Boy Scouts Provide Community Service

Boy ScoutsHats off to Boy Scout Troop 246 of Marysville, pictured, who took time out of their busy schedules this past April to clean the wetlands area behind Mercy Health Center in Fort Gratiot Township.

Removing a number of bags of garbage and debris, this is the seventh year the troop has made such an effort under the guidance of Co-leader Jim Rankin.

“I think it’s important to thank this dedicated group of boys and their leadership for committing to this community project for the seventh year,” comments Lynn Burgett, Administrator of Mercy Health Center. “We have been honored to have had so many great boys help maintain this wonderful environment.”

If you know of a boy who would be interested to learn how to join this exceptional troop of Boy Scouts, please call Jim Rankin at (810) 984-1628.
