Mercy Health Center Hosts Holiday Mitten Tree

Fort Gratiot, MI… If you’re considering making a donation or offering a gift to the less fortunate this year, the Mercy Health Center Mitten Tree might be the answer for you. Mercy Health Center in Fort Gratiot Township is accepting donations of winter wear such as hats, scarves and mittens for its annual Holiday Mitten Tree. All donations will be distributed to Save Our Neighborhood Streets (SONS) as well as Woodrow Wilson and Cleveland Elementary schools.

During these difficult economic times, it’s important to remember adults and children in our community who may be in need of cold winter wear this holiday season. In addition to new items, Mercy Health Center’s Mitten Tree is also accepting clean, gently-used boots and coats. Donations will be accepted through Friday, December 14, 2007. You can drop off your donation to the reception desk at Mercy Health Center, located at 4190 24th Avenue, in Fort Gratiot; or the Mercy Hospital Admissions office, located at 2601 Electric Avenue in Port Huron.

For more information, please call Mercy Health Center at (810) 989-7700 during regular business hours. For more information about Mercy Hospital visit Mercy online at: mymercy.us.
