| The Mercy Health Center Holiday Mitten Tree, in Fort Gratiot Township, is accepting new hats, scarves and mittens as well as clean, gently-used boots and coats for children and adults of all ages. |
Puzzling over the perfect way to brighten someone else’s holiday? This year as you look over the laundry list of requests for contributions and donations, consider giving the gift of cold weather wear to someone in need.
Mercy Health Center in Fort Gratiot Township is accepting donations of winter wear such as hats, scarves and mittens.
Through its Holiday Mitten Tree, all donations will be distributed to Save Our Neighborhood Streets (SONS) as well as Woodrow Wilson and Cleveland Elementary schools.
During these difficult economic times, it’s important to remember the adults and children in our community who may be in need this holiday season.
In addition to new items, Mercy Health Center’s Holiday Mitten Tree is also accepting clean and gently-used boots and coats.
All donations will be accepted through Friday, December 14, 2007.
You’re invited to drop off your donation to the reception desk at Mercy Health Center, located at 4190 24th Avenue, in Fort Gratiot; or the Mercy Hospital Admissions office, located at 2601 Electric Avenue, in Port Huron.
For more information, please call Mercy Health Center at (810) 989-7700 during regular business hours.
