Mercy - Chafty Memorial Golf Outing Success!
Mercy Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2007 Mercy – Chafty Memorial Golf Outing Raised more than $66,000 to support programs including the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health and the Mercy Regional Cancer Center.
Through the support of community members and an outstanding Mercy Golf Committee, monies raised from this year’s event will go to financially support the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health.
The Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health is cosponsored by the St. Clair County Medical Society and Mercy Hospital and is funded in part by the United Way of St. Clair County. Each year, the clinic provides for more than 3,000 free patient visits and is staffed by community and physician volunteers.
In addition to the clinic, funds raised through the event are also used to benefit the Mercy Regional Cancer Center. The expense of providing high-tech cancer care and treatment requires constant financial reinvestment.
Held in August 2007, Mercy Hospital Foundation would like to extend its gratitude to those sponsors that made the event such a success.
