MAVO Hosts “Lights of Love”
“Every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings...” This enchanting quote from Frank Capra’s Christmas favorite “It’s a Wonderful Life,” is the theme of an annual fundraiser sponsored by the Mercy Auxiliary Volunteer Organization (MAVO), and a terrific way to honor someone you love.
With a simple donation of $5 for a Lights of Love bell, you can remember or honor a loved one, family member or friend. Bells are displayed on the Mercy Hospital Christmas Tree, predominantly located in the Mercy Hospital Baggot Street Café throughout the Holiday Season.
Bells can then be picked up between Saturday, January 5 and Friday, January 11 to cherish for yourself or pass along to your loved one.
Lights of Love bells are available in the Mercy Hospital Gift Shop, located at 2601 Electric Avenue, in Port Huron, Monday and Wednesday, 9:30 to 5 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 2 to 7 p.m.
All monies raised from Lights of Love will go to benefit MAVO’s numerous philanthropic endeavors.
For more information, please call the Mercy Hospital Gift Shop at (810) 987-1045 during regular business hours.
