 Step inside Mercy Hospital and you’ve entered a FREE Wireless Internet Zone.
Available throughout Mercy Hospital for over a year, Wi-Fi capabilities have captured the attention of guests and patients.
One guest from Kalamazoo, MI, visiting his father at Mercy Hospital commented, “This is convenient access that helps me stay connected to my job responsibilities while allowing me to spend important time with my dad. I was so happy to see the information for wireless Internet here at the hospital. Now, I can grab a cup of coffee and stay connected to my work while comfortably knowing that when my dad needs me, I’m right here for him. It’s a level of connection that’s so important during a health crisis.”
Other guests and vendors agree. Many bring their laptops and log-on easily to the wireless system; while others utilize computer kiosk stations, located throughout the hospital, to provide updates to family and friends; and stay connected to their work and home.
“It caused me anxiety to sit and wait for my daughter to come out of surgery,” comments a Fort Gratiot Township resident. “The kiosk station, located in the Atrium Waiting Room, was perfect. I could quickly log-on and check my email at work, send a reassuring message to my mom and surf the Net for a few minutes. It allows you the ability to take your mind off of your worry. It’s a terrific service.”
