MERCY HOSPITAL CELEBRATES NURSE ANESTHETIST WEEK
& OFFERS INFORMATIONAL PRESENTATION
Port Huron, MI…For many, the knowledge of
impending surgery can be worrisome. Thoughts of beeping
monitors and masked faces all add to the unease. The reassuring
news is that an expert anesthesia provider will keep patients
safe and comfortable during procedures. At Mercy Hospital
those professionals are a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
(CRNA).
Nurse Anesthetists have been at the forefront of patient
safety and comfort since the Civil War. Standing the test
of time, there are now more than 33,000 CRNAs across the
nation, providing watchful care to thousands of patients
every day. To help celebrate National Nurse Anesthetists
Week (January 22 – 28), Mercy Hospital CRNAs will
host a special poster presentation, providing valuable information
regarding the medical care and services offered to surgical
patients.
This insightful presentation is an outstanding opportunity
for patients who will or plan to undergo surgery in the
near future. The event will be held Wednesday, January 25,
from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Mercy Hospital Cafeteria.
Mercy Hospital CRNAs will be on-hand during this time to
offer direct answers to questions regarding procedures and
equipment. No registration is required. Please join Mercy
Hospital in celebrating this important medical service,
and learn why CRNAs are a patient’s eyes, ears and
voice during surgical procedures.
