Learn to Better Manage Your Diabetes

Want to learn to better manage your diabetes? Mercy Hospital Diabetes Education is pleased to host its 2008 community education event, “On the Road to Better Managing Your Diabetes”. This event is open to all individuals living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, who would like more in-depth information regarding the self-management of their disease.
The event will beheld Saturday, November 1, from 8 to 11:45 a.m., at Mercy Hospital, and will include the use of interactive diabetes conversation maps created by Healthyi in collaboration with the American Diabetes Association.

The cost of the event is $10 per person and includes the presentations, informational and educational displays from local diabetes vendors as well as refreshments.

The program will explore key diabetes information on a personal level that encourages participants to become active learners and engage in self-management of their diabetes.

A section of the program will be provided by Sushma Reddy, MD, a leading local endocrinologist, specializing in the care of diabetes patients.
