Mercy Hospital Foundation Hosts Pink Ribbon Ladies' Day

Port Huron, MI…Mercy Hospital Foundation is pleased to host the 11th Annual Pink Ribbon Ladies’ Day, Thursday, June 22, 2006, 7:30 a.m., at Fore Lakes Golf Club. This exceptional nine-hole golfing event is designed just for women. Monies raised from the event go to directly benefit women’s services provided through Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health.

The theme of this year’s event is Women in Focus, because each year, nearly 150 local women gather to support other women in need through this fun-filled golf outing. Profits raised provide for those women in our community who are uninsured or underinsured. Last year’s event, which raised more than $15,000, was used to support several area women who needed additional diagnostic mammography views and care after receiving a positive mammogram.

In addition to a nine-hole golf scramble, women attending the event are treated to a continental breakfast, an outstanding buffet lunch and have the opportunity to participate in an exciting golf-cart decorating and team spirit award contest. Local women’s product vendors display their wares, and women’s health education is provided. The cost of the event is $75 per person.
