Headache and Diabetes Education & Support Groups Meet

Ever wonder what type of chronic headache you suffer from? Would you like to learn more about managing your diabetes? In September, Mercy Hospital will offer two education and support group meetings that could answer your questions.

The Mercy Headache and Education Support group will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 18. The meeting will feature a presentation by Mostafa Sadry, MD, a Blue Water Area neurologist, who will host a discussion titled: “Understanding the Different Types of Headache.”

This free program is being presented in conjunction with the National Headache Foundation. The group is open to those who suffer from headache, their family members and all interested community members. September’s education and support group will meet in the Mercy Hospital lower-level Auditorium. To find out more, and to make your reservation to attend, please call (810) 989-7461.

The free Mercy Diabetes Support and Education Group will meet Thursday, September 27, from 1 to 2 p.m., in the First Floor Conference Room at Mercy Hospital.

This month’s topic includes: “Understanding Sleep Apnea,” and will be presented by the experts at the Mercy Sleep Disorders Center. Additionally, participants will be introduced to a new tool in diabetes management and education, “Conversation Maps.” No RSVP needed.
