RAISES FUNDS FOR PEOPLES’ CLINIC FOR BETTER HEATLH
Port Huron, MI…Mercy Hospital Foundation and
Wright & Filippis are pleased to host the 4th Annual
“Vineyards of the World” wine tasting event,
with proceeds to directly benefit the Peoples’ Clinic
for Better Health.
Vineyards of the World will be held Saturday, March 11,
2006, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place at
Fore Lakes Golf Club in Kimball Township. The cost of the
event is $65 per person or $125 per couple. Corporate sponsorship
opportunities are also available.
Participants can look forward to a wine tasting experience
from the wine countries of Italy, New Zealand, and Australia;
and regional favorites including Michigan and California.
Taste-tantalizing hors d’oeuvres will also be served
which are selected and prepared to compliment wine selections.
Last year, more than 200 community members and friends of
the Peoples’ Clinic attended the event, which raised
more than $27,000.
Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health is the centerpiece
of Mercy Hospital’s Mission. It is a collaborative
effort of Mercy Hospital and the St. Clair County Medical
Society. The clinic is also funded in part by the United
Way of St. Clair County. The Peoples’ Clinic provides
free medical care to those in our community who are uninsured
or underinsured and lack the resources to pay for their
care. The clinic is open three days each week, and is operated
through the support of volunteer physicians, nurses and
community members.
