locate tumors
- PET scans (Positron Emission Tomography)
- Computerized laboratory which increases efficiency and
accuracy of tests
- The region's only certified cytotechnologist who screens
various tissue samples for cancer cell identification
Advanced treatment options
State-of-the-art cancer treatment is available through Mercy, offering convenient care close to home, such as:
St. Clair County’s only linear accelerator with three-dimensional treatment planning for sophisticated radiation therapy which targets the cancer with pinpoint accuracy.
Providing: Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) SmartBeam Technology.
Mercy Regional Cancer Center also offers access to Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) through its SmartBeam Technology.
