Partners at Heart
Mercy Hospital has partnered with Port Huron Hospital and
local cardiologists, heart surgeons and your primary care
provider to offer comprehensive cardiac care services to
the residents of the Blue Water communities.
Launched in 1993, Partners at Heart offers the only Interventional
and Cardiac Surgery and Electrophysiology program in St.
Clair County. With outstanding clinical and surgical outcomes,
Partners at Heart is your access to quality heart care close
to home.
This unique partnership leverages the best of the community’s
healthcare assets to provide the best possible care in the
community.
Diagnostic Testing
EKGs, MUGA scans, echo-cardiograms and stress tests are
performed through Partners at Heart at three convenient
locations: Mercy Hospital, Mercy Health Center and Port
Huron Hospital. Cardiac catheterizations are performed at
Mercy Hospital and Port Huron Hospital.
Electrophysiology
Cardiac Electrophysiology is the diagnosis and treatment
of patients with electrical or rhythm disorders of the heart.
The electrophysiology program specializes in the management
of cardiac arrhythmias and arrhythmia-related problems.
A special laboratory has been dedicated to this service.
It is offered through Partners at Heart at Port Huron Hospital.
Open Heart Surgery
Partners at Heart offers access to open heart surgical
procedures including Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
surgery, Minimally Invasive CABG, and Valve surgery. Open
heart procedures are performed through Partners at Heart
at Port Huron Hospital.
Cardiac Rehabilitation
Phase I is offered at Port Huron Hospital. In addition,
Mercy offers the only outpatient cardiac rehabilitation
program in the area. Phase II and Phase III Cardiac Rehabilitation
are offered through Partners at Heart at Mercy Health Center,
in Fort Gratiot to help patients maintain an optimum level
of functioning.
HeartLink
This cardiac education and support group is available for
individuals and their family members and offers continual
information, education and support on cardiac disease.
Community Outreach
Education, presentations and screenings on a variety of
cardiac health related topics and risk factors are available
regionally through a dedicated community outreach coordinator.

Other Cardiac Diagnostic Services
Cardiac Scoring
Mercy Hospital offers access to Cardiac Scoring Services
through local radiologists. This fee-for-service program
utilizes advanced diagnostic capabilities to provide a noninvasive
method to evaluate the potential for cardiac diseases, especially
